The Verified Timeline

The Verified Timeline was established in 1658 B.W by The Great Unification of Empires.

The Great Silence

400,000,000 to 100,000,000 BW

The first wave of sentient life dawns on the galaxy, soon forming civilizations and galactic civilizations that span a few hundred million years. Very little is known about these primordial beings and societies since they vanished without a trace - leaving behind only relics, ring-worlds, anomalies, and advanced technology. It is believed that XenoMorph Scourge (XenoScourge for short?) around the galaxy directly results from their scientific experiments.

Prehistory

6,000,000 - 1,000,000 Years Before Warp

Galactic Origin

6,000,000 to 3,000,000 B.W

The Age of Origin is the beginning of Galactic History and marks the spontaneous evolution of sentient races and intelligent life across the galaxy.

The Primal Age

3,000,000 to 1,000,000 B.W

The first sentient races develop rudimentary primal tools and manage to utilize fire.

The Emergence Era

1,000,000 - 4,000 Years Before Warp

The Fundamental Age

1,000,000 to 16,000 B.W

The first nomadic civilizations are born in their respective stone age. Language becomes more complex, tool usage expands, and the latest significant developments of each species' respective behavioral evolution are defined.

The Primal Development Age

1,000,000 to 16,000 B.W

The first sedentary civilizations begin to form, growing in size and evolving in technological ability and energy systems. Generations of civilizations contribute to the basic foundations of pre-warp knowledge and technology, such as basic science, rudimentary air travel, elemental electromagnetic power, ancient machines, and computational devices.

The Nuclear Age

8,000 to 4,000 B.W

Rapid and unsustainable technological and industrial development peaks near the invention of nuclear power and rudimentary space travel. Unstable geopolitical ecosystems lead to the first occurrences of worldwide wars during this time period. At the end of the Nuclear Age, countless civilizations throughout tens of thousands of worlds are consumed in global annihilation. The formation of post-war world governments and the beginning of system-wide exploration marks the end of this age and era.

The Solar Era

4,000 - 1,200 Years Before Warp

The Colonial Age

4,000 to 2,400 B.W

Civilizations spread throughout their respective solar systems to gather more resources and expand. A golden age of pre-warp technological advancements dawns across the galaxy. Civilizations create the first concrete steps toward future sciences: Sub-luminal space travel, the sciences, quantum engineering, and advanced applied sciences.

Significant Innovations: Digital Sentience, Space Elevators, Bio-Engineering, Digital Sentience, Nano-Tech, Molecular Engineering, and Phase Technology, and Digital Sentience is Achieved.

The Helio Expansion Age

2,400 to 1,200 B.W

Solar Systems have become fully explored. Interplanetary infrastructures deepen, and habitable zones emerge throughout all known moons and planets. Some civilizations see conflict arise; political wars occur for control over resources and territory as subluminal technology reaches its practical limits.

Digital Sentience is Achieved.

The Interstellar Era

1,200 Before Warp - 7,827 Year After Warp

The Dyson Age

1,200 - 52 B.W

Dyson rings, then spheres, are developed to support the energy requirement of each system-wide civilization. Civilizations explore interstellar space and colonize the nearest solar systems adjacent to them. The rapid evolution of digital sentience and synthetic beings occur during this age, giving rise to various outcomes of biological/synths relationships and politics.

Major Inventions: Dyson rings, Dyson Spheres, and Dyson Swarms.

The Warp Age

52 B.W - 2,935 A.W

Superluminal technology marks the beginning of the Warp Age. Several highly advanced worlds simultaneously invented Warp Engines. The technology quickly spread throughout the galaxy and became ubiquitous by the year 530 AW. Civilizations begin interacting with a brand new Galaxy full of other sentient beings. Empires and Alliances begin to form and grow.

The XenoMorph threats become more apparent as civilizations across the galaxy encounter the evolutionary descendants of primordial genetic experiments. Despite some conflicts arising in every sector, the galaxy achieves several technological and economic progress, marked by cultural integration and information exchange of many types of interstellar entities: independent worlds and some growing empires and alliances.

The Warp Age sees the galaxy’s warp-capable civilizations go from a few to as many as 8 thousand.

Age of Cosmic Conflict

2,935 A.W - 6,217 AW

Interstellar civilizations wage economic and military warfare on an increasing scale, leading up to the period of Interstellar Conflicts (4,337). During the first [The conflicts were local and decentralized in nature, with over 3 thousand worlds engaged in wars within their respective system cluster throughout this time period.

Political entities and military power consolidate into 47 Major Empires, 12 Major Alliances, and nearly 1,400 smaller political unions across the galaxy. Peace existed for nearly 873 years until the Galactic Wars (from 3,890 to 4,217).

4 Major Empires and 3 Major Alliances remain at the end of the Age of Cosmic Conflict. There are more than 18 thousand warp-capable worlds in this age.

Empires (78%):

  1. Kal Empire -26%

  2. Asha-Tor Empire -20%

  3. Drelonic Empire -17%

  4. Teil-rah Empire -14%

Alliances (22%)

  1. The Synthetic Alliance - 12%

  2. The Ba’tohr Alliance - 6%

  3. The Rylo Alliance - 4%

The Transdimensional Era

6,217 A.W - Present (8,182 A.W)

The Quantum Age

6,217 A.W - 7,827 A.W

The final stage is understanding energy states and primary control of fundamental forces. Civilization enters the quantum age, with communication now simultaneous despite vast distances; civilization grew closer. While communications were simultaneous at that point, crossing the immense distance in space was still several generations away.

Transportation of goods and services across several empires and colonies did become more accessible to track as reports of location and situation were relayed in real-time. And as the universe grew smaller in terms of communications, great minds focused on engineering the significant problem of distance in space.

Folding Space

The first step towards crossing great distances became pinpointing energy at a great distance. Folding space would be pointless if every time it was used; it opened at a random location. As such, scientists spun an electron and found the corresponding location successfully; the hard part came.

Energy and Costs

The first attempts to create a hole in time and space were unfathomably expensive, and the elements required to build it were almost impossible to find. It took several generations to compile the needed materials, and once it was done, the gargantuan machine was placed next to a dying star. The machine that would fold space and time would use the energy of the star to open the portal, and once the button was pressed, a sphere tearing vast distances laid open; the universe millions of light years away had just become a day's travel.

Although the technological advancements were transcendental, the technology was expensive, requiring vast fortunes, and in some cases, the technology was abandoned since it could bring entire planets to ruin.

Over the span of 2000 years, experiments and refinements were performed to make the technology accessible both for military applications and commercial applications. It was due to the discovery of ExoDust, a trans dimensional concentrate harvested at the event horizon of a black hole. Now with the element in hand, the technology available, and entire empires mining the rare element, instant galactic travel at planetary scales were possible.

The Current Paradigm

7,827 A.W - Present, 8,182 A.W

The Quantum Era to the present paradigm saw the invention of experimental energy weapons, advancement in Transdimensional Nanite Technology, and the formalization of modern political factions. Thanks to these elements' establishment and cooperation, the Xenomorphic threats were kept at bay on the outskirts of civilization, reported mostly at outposts and settlements.

The faction keeps a tense peace. With the frequent use of the guilds to defend and expand the known universe, it is theorized that the worlds are headed to a golden era of prosperity that will produce unsurpassed discoveries leading to new knowledge.

While the populace is told of the wonders to come, the peace between the factions is constantly tested as personal agendas and hunger for power still grip the hearts of those who seek to lead. Thankfully the population of the Verified Galaxy has a voice, and despite the whims of factions and their claims to a right to rule, their ambitions are kept in check by the individuals who live there.
